Rocket ball is new sports in outdoor game. Consisting of two teams, competing to who can score the most goals, by throwing the ball into the competing teams post, in a match. The rule of score Post Ball varies a bit, player throw the ball in Post in competing teams post, the ball hit the post and return come to any side of the ground, once ball touch the ground means Thrower Team Get Two Point, else ball catch to same team player means get 4 points. Once Ball Catch to Opposite team player means Thrower is out. Out means players is not need to go outside of the ground, that player is not permission to throw the ball in Post. He is just defence and support player.

Why Play Rocket Ball?

Rocket ball game is the specific area hit the ball in goal post so that players play with speed, Focus, Target and Team Work.

Hi I am Gopala Krishnan In 2003 My brother name satheesh was Not able to play outdoor games due to his health issue. In that time I am create a new sport game called Rocket Ball. It means plastic bottles are arranged up on the bottles, satheesh try to hit the bottles sometimes ball hit but each and every time bottles fell down. So I decide bottles are changed to pole. Then satheesh try to hit the pole. Finally when the ball was hit on the pole the ball return back to the floor. If ball touch the floor that time throwers get two points but if the ball catch by fielder, that time fielder team get two points. This is the beginning day Rules of the Game to getting points. Lot of changes in last 10 years. Finally we make all well.

Each team has total 10 players, play the game in 5 players within 10 players .5 player is substitute.

How To Play Rocket Ball ?

The Ball

A Rocket Ball is a round ball, made from leather or a carbon sleeve. The surface must not me shiny or slippery, since the players need to be able to catch the ball with one hand. The size of the ball is 16 Inch.


Rules Of Play


Ground - Goal Post Size Of Rocket Ball


Rocket Ball Ground Size 40 Meter. Each Team Divied 20 Meter. 20 Meter Have Two Partition
  •  Up Defense Area
  •  Down Defense Area

Up Defense Area

Up Defense Area Is First 10 Meter of Both Team (UDA).
Catch Point - 4 Run
Pitch Point -  2 Run


Down Defense Area

Down Defense Area Is Second 10 Meter of Both Team (DDA).
Catch Point - 2 Run
Pitch Point -  1 Run





Goal Post Size Of Rocket Ball


Goal Post is Fixed to Center of Defense Area in 3 Meter circle (Foul Hit Area). In between of UDA and DDA. Rocket Ball Goal Post is Total 7 Feet. Goal Post Divied by Two Partition

3 Meter circle (Foul Hit Area) is restrict area players do not allow to make a goal inside of Foul Hit Area.

Part of this Goal Post Un point Area Size is 5.50 FT.Player Try the Goal, Ball is Hit this part means Ball is hand over to Opposit Team Center Line Player.


White Point

Part of this Goal Post Point Area Size is 1.50 FT.Player Try the Goal, Ball is Hit this part means Ball is Thrower Team get chance to make a point.

Rocket Ball Have Three Type of Points

4 Point

THE PLAYER THROW THE BALL TO GOAL POST. THE BALL IS HIT GOAL POST AND RETURN THE BALL IN ANY AREA OF GROUND. THROW TEAM PLAYERS DIRECT CATCH BALL TEAM GOT 4 POINTS.



2 Point

THE PLAYER THROW THE BALL TO GOAL POST. THE BALL IS HIT GOAL POST AND RETURN THE BALL IN ANY AREA OF GROUND. BALL PITCH THE DEFENSE AREA MEANS 2 POINTS.



1 Point

ONE TEAM LOSS ALL WICKET SO MATCH STOP, THAT TIME OPPOSITE TEAM HAND IN SOME WICKET MEANS EACH WICKET HAVE ONE POINT.




Game time


Rocket Ball length of a game 60 Mins (30x2) . The break between the two halves are always 10 minutes..
